About the Programme
These qualifications are available at diploma level and evaluate learners’ abilities to produce business competencies. These qualifications are designed for individuals who wish to start or advance their career in the business sector. It covers a range of topics from basic book-keeping practices to the recording and interpretation of complex financial transactions.

This course is ideal for anyone with an interest in business skills who wishes to move into that area. It is also suited to self-employed people who need to maintain their own business and would like to understand business skills. Many students undertake the course in order to formalize work experience with a qualification, and it can provide a useful stepping stone to the level 3 qualification.

Year 1
- Customer Service
- Book-keeping and Accounting
- Basic IT – Portfolio Management
Year 2
- Book-keeping and Accounting Level 2
- Customer Service Level 2
- Spreadsheet – Essentials
Exams and Assessments
First Year – Continuous Internal Assessment by Tutor – IIRQ’s Certification
Second Year – Externally set and marked examination papers at the end of the course City & Guilds Certification.
Entry Requirements
Whilst there are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking these qualifications, candidates will be required to have a reasonable level of Communication and Numerical Skills in order to complete the assessment requirements. Applicants may be subjected to sit a Diagnostic Mathematics and English Test, if they do not possess passes in any previous exams.
